Penrith wins U7's Gala Day - There is no more fitting end to hosting a Gala Tournament than to go home at the end of the day with the winners' trophy like our U7's Panthers.
Penrith Baseball Club hosted nine teams, including three of their own, for the Annual Greater Western Junior Baseball League's Under 7's Gala Tournament on Sunday 16th December with the Panthers winning the Grand Final.
This is the only recognised result for the Under 7's who play in a non-competitive league for the regular season. Both the Panthers and Pumas went through to the finals, with the Panthers playing their pool's second placed team Kemps Creek.
The final result of the final was a fitting draw, and with the teams' pool result also a draw, the Panthers were declared winners as they finished their pool in First position with more wins than Kemps Creek.
Another fantastic result from our Club's Junior Members, Well Done.
Penrith wins the Kolts Shield - The Under 9 Panthers Team has gone through this year's U9 Gala Day undefeated to take out the covetted Kolts Shield this weekend. (28/10/07). ...PHOTOS
The U/9 Penrith Panthers had a great day of baseball today at the Kellyville Kolts U/9 Gala Day.
They played brilliantly and won all 3 games in their pool, then won a fourth game against the Kellyville Broncos who had also been undefeated (until they met the mighty Panthers).
Then the fifth game was the final, against the Broncos. It was a great game by both sides but in the end the Panthers were too strong and came out as the Kolt Shield winners.
Well done guys! You all played fantastically. Not only was your game great but you were all well mannered, patient, enthusiastic to the end and you did your club proud. I know all the team parents, including your coaches, are very proud of your achievements today. Keep up the good work.
Nathan Skinner - Having toured Japan recently with Baseball NSW, Nathan has the distinction of being the only player in the Greater Western District to be selected to play in the National Championships in January 2008. Best of luck from the Club.
